Valentine's Day Blondie Bars
Valentine's Day is more than just about love, it's about food! It's the perfect excuse to whip up something amazing whether it be a yummy Italian dish or some of these awesome blondie bars. I found this recipe on Pinterest and I'm glad a did, it's a basic blondie recipe with Valentine's Day M&M's incorporated. These blondies are really easy to make (you should be able to make them in under an hour) and don't require too many ingredients either, so all the more reason to give 'em a try!
Ingredients:
Here's what to do:
1. Preheat over to 350 degrees
2. Spray 9x13 pan with cooking spray or line with parchment paper
3. Place the butter and brown sugar in a medium sized sauce pan and heat (at medium should be good at first then to get the butter to melt you can crank it to high)
4. Stir constantly* this is important, until smooth
5. Remove from heat and let it cool for about 5 minutes

- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup Valentine's Day plain M&M's
Here's what to do:

11. Pour into prepared 9x13 pan and add the rest of the chocolate chips and M&M's to the top (this I didn't see this step until I already used up most of mine, hence why the pictures have so few on top :), now I know for next time!)
12. Bake for 25-30 minutes and allow to cool until slightly warm
13. Remove from pan and cut into bars
