Chocolate chips rolled into a delicious sugar cookie dough
Blissful Sugar Cookies
I got this recipe from the hersheys.com website, but modified it to my liking.
They came out delicious!
- 2/3 Cup margarine or butter, softened
- 1 Cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 Tablespoon milk
- 1/2 Teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 Cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 Teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 Teaspoon salt
- About 66 HERSHEYS milk chocolate nuggets (divided if desired)
**The recipe originally calls for HERSHEYS Bliss chocolate so feel free to use those
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease cookie sheet or line with paper parchment. Remove wrappers from chocolate.
2. Beat butter and sugar in large mixing bowl. Add egg, milk, and vanilla blending thoroughly. In separate bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to butter mixture, blending well. Refridgerate dough for about 1 hour or until firm enough to work with.

Mold dough around chocolate so that it's completley covered. Place on prepared cookie sheet.
Bake for 10-12 mins or until cookie is set. Cool slightly, remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completley.
If desired (which I did because they make the cookie even better) -chop remaining chocolates & place in microwave safe bowl. Microwave for about 45 seconds, removing bowl every 10 seconds or so to mix and ensure the chocolate doesnt burn.
Place chocolate in a piping bag or makeshift baggie with tip cut off and drizzle over the top of the cookies or decorate as desired. Yum!

Chocolate Chip Halloween Cut-out Cookies
I made these to get into the Halloween spirit.
I used a basic sugar cookie recipe and then modified it to be able to roll out the dough for cutting the cookies into shapes. I also added a bunch of chocolate chips :) These are basically sugar and chocolate chip cookies at the same time.
I used fondant for the decorations. Delicious and festive!
